Writer, photographer, painter. My memoir about growing up in a tropical paradise during a brutal dictatorship and a troubled family. Titled "The Coconut Latitudes: Secrets, Storms and Survival in the Caribbean", it was published in September 2014 by She Writes Press. In 2015 it won two gold in IBPA's Benjamin Franklin awards, and also was a gold award winner in 2015 Next Generation Indie Awards. It was a finalist in 2016 for the NIEA Indie Excellence Awards. I am also a contributor to "The Magic of Memoir: Inspiration for the Writing Journey", published by SWP in 2016. In addition, am a contributor to "Wandering in Andalusia: The Soul of Southern Spain", a travel anthology, published in 2016 by Wanderland Writers.
